Eastwood Danso Ventures Into Tailoring With Standout Suits & Shell-Adorned Leather Blazers
The emerging designer reinterprets formal for SS20.

Emerging designer Eastwood Danso has presented his Spring/Summer 2020 collection under his eponymous label. In the lookbook, Danso spotlights his hiking-inspired collaboration with Converse alongside pieces which start to see the young designer evolve outside of streetwear aesthetics.
Danso’s previous work includes streetwear-indebted capsules with OBS, and his first collection back in 2017 was described by Danso himself in a HYPEBEAST interview as a “trial and error.” He noted that “saying my first collection was more streetwear doesn’t close any doors for me. I don’t shy away from the term ‘streetwear’ like some other people do.”
Fast forward to SS20, Eastwood Danso presents a sophisticated selection of tailoring, streetwear-inspired pieces and reinterpreted staples. Standout pieces from the SS20 collection include the orange two-piece suit, which features slashed elbows and white panels on the trousers, as well as the Puka shell leather suit, which sees small bead-like shells adorn the collar of the jacket and hang from the trousers like a belt chain.
Other notable pieces from SS20 include the introduction of Danso’s symbol chains and the light khaki shellsuit, which combines elements of workwear with a typical tracksuit alongside elevated silver-tone hardware.
