Martin Asbjørn Showcases a Masterclass in Relaxed, Summer-Ready Tailoring
The Danish designer masters off-duty class for SS20.

Martin Asbjørn‘s eponymous label has presented its Spring/Summer 2020 collection titled “Boring,” showcasing a number of the Danish designer’s meticulously clean and relaxed tailored pieces.
As with all of Asbjørn’s collections, the clothing is luxurious yet understated, challenging the norms of traditional tailoring with flowing, androgynous silhouettes while utilizing heritage craftsmanship techniques. The mix of classic tailoring and his contemporary aesthetic can be seen best in belted pinstripe blazer, which combines a signature suit design with a sophisticated modern cut.
Other notable pieces in the collection include a pair of lightly pleated black trousers that incorporate a double-belt waistline, the black leather shorts and a dusty blue padded trench coat. The SS20 offering sees standout pieces such as the ’60s-indebted baby blue two pieces, comprised of a deconstructed blazer featuring concealed fastening and a contrasting lavender-hued silk lining alongside a pair of bell-bottom trousers.
Bell-bottoms and wide-shouldered blazers are seen in colors such as black and light tan, while track pants in blue, black and mint green switch up the SS20 aesthetic. Rounding out the collection is a selection of relaxed shirts, wide-legged shorts and a universal triangular side bag.
