PlayStation Surprise Releases Live-Action Interactive Thriller Game 'Erica'
Available on PS4, iOS and Android.
PlayStation has officially released Erica, a live-action interactive thriller game developed by Flavourworks. Focusing on the titular character, players must navigate Erica (portrayed by Holly Earl of Skins and Law and Order UK) through her journey of self-discovery while attempting to solve the mystery of her father’s sudden murder — an issue that threads back to her family’s history and the traumatic events from her childhood.
Playable on the PS4 with a DUALSHOCK 4 controller and iOS and Android with the Erica app, players will need to solve puzzles with touch-sensitive mechanics, along with making choices that create a butterfly effect in the story. The game follows modes similar to Detroit: Become Human, Heavy Rain, Until Dawn and Netflix’s Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, allowing players to decide how Erica’s fate ends.
