Curren$y Drops New Video for 'Hot August Nights' Highlight "Never Had"

Curren$y continues to support his most recent studio project with new visuals. Just one week after the official arrival of his Nard & B-produced EP Hot August Nights, the New Orleans lyricist is back with a third music video for one of that effort’s standout selections. Specifically, Curren$y reconnects with his current go-to visual collaborator @dexstr8dope__ for the vignette for “Never Had.”

“Swimming in my jewelry, you ain’t that brave / I’m a fly tourist, smoking Cali weed in Spain / I been through some bullshit but still I soaked the game,” Curren$y raps during the beginning of his initial “Never Had” salvo. “My lil’ brother fucked your bitch just ’cause you a lame / Layin’ the frame on that Chevrolet, we ain’t playin’ / That’s y’all small timer’s chump change.”

“Never Had” was first released as one of the seven songs that makes up Curren$y and Nard & B’s Hot August Nights collaboration. The aforementioned EP was supported by similar music videos for Hot August Nights‘ primary singles, “Right Now” and “Eyes Closed.” Altogether, Hot August Nights serves as Curren$y’s fifth project of 2019.
