Curren$y Announces New Album 'Hot August Nights' & Drops "Right Now" Video
His fifth project of 2019 is on the way.
Curren$y is showing no signs of slowing down. Fresh off the release of his Pheno Grigio LP with Berner and the Umbrella Symphony EP with Jay Worthy, the Jet Life legend is planning on releasing a new full-length solo project fittingly-titled Hot August Nights.
To introduce his next studio project and tease its arrival and sound, Curren$y is sharing a new single known as “Right Now.” Debuted alongside its @GTFilms-directed visual component, “Right Now” finds its creator serving up tightly-wound, slick bars about cash, cars, cocaine and more.
“Hittin’ switches, East Side out the window when I’m slidin’ through / Jet Life out the sunroof, bitch you know what that do / You just make excuses, we just make big moves,” Curren$y raps. “Everything exclusive, wait, who that is? / Don’t let that n***a through here, I never seen that kid / Unrecognizable, by folks with lots of dope / You in another bracket / You sittin’ at the kitty table when you file your taxes / I hustle with a few labels, I never take advantage / I got it, dawg don’t trip, do pop-ups in Saks Fifth.”
