Louis Vuitton Drops LV Trainer Imagined With a Glossy Alligator Treatment
An online exclusive.

After recently showcasing its SS20 Pre-Collection, Louis Vuitton has dropped its latest rendition of the LV Trainer, clad in glossy black alligator textures.
Imagined through Virgil Abloh‘s unique lens, the silhouette was modeled after vintage basket sneakers. This iteration comes decked with smooth black calf leather embossed with alligator skin patterns. The tongue is met with tonal laces and black rubber eyelets, while the heel is etched with “#54.” Subtle perforations appear along the sidewalls just above “Louis Vuitton” branding that’s scrawled in gold trim. An additional layer of leather is added to the mudguards and forefoot, hosting the luxury house’s iconic monogram above small rubber netting. As a finishing touch, the midsole is given a sleek, tonal palette that displays three of LV’s iconic flower monograms near the rear.
The Louis Vuitton LV Trainer “Black” is exclusively available at louisvuitton.com for $1,190 USD.
Elsewhere, adidas Originals has dropped LXCON 94 and Supercourt rendered in snakeskin.
