Following Baby Rose’s new visual for her single “Mortal,” the R&B singer returns with a new track and album release announcement.

Baby Rose shared “August 5th” for her birthday, a track that allows her to travel through the years, reminiscing about the past while looking forward to a life full of constant changes. The Atlanta-based singer explained that “the song is really about how no matter how old I am, or wise I get, there will always be bumps in the road and lows I have to overcome. It’s a reminder for me, on my bday August 5th, to embrace the journey.” Her debut album, ‘To Myself,’ is set to release August 22. With her powerful, soulful vocals, Baby Rose has gained support from Kehlani, J. Cole and Lebron James and been featured on albums by Dreamville, Big Krit and Matt Martians.

The singer celebrated her birthday with a special hometown show at Aisle 5 in Atlanta, Georgia. Expect to see her on tour with Snoh Aalegra in Europe starting in September.

Take a listen to “August 5th” below.
