After offering up the teaser trailer this past May, HBO has dropped the official trailer for its forthcoming comedy series created by Danny McBride, The Righteous Gemstones. Evidenced by the trailer, the show centers around a “world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work.” Namely, the series centers around the family dynamic of John Goodman, Adam Devine, and Danny McBride as Eli, Kelvin, and Jesse Gemstone.

The show stays true to McBride’s hilariously inventive writing, which he previously explored and developed with Eastbound & Down and Vice Principals. McBride also wrote and directed various episodes of the series. Originally slated to drop last year in June, the series will hit HBO later this summer on August 18.
