Mereba Plays With the Idea of Reflection in Powerful "Sandstorm" Music Video
Continuing to collaborate with Dreamville artist J.I.D.
Atlanta-based artist Mereba dropped off her debut album, The Jungle is the Only Way Out, in February, and now the songstress has released a sultry new music video to back her and J.I.D’s “Sandstorm” record from the project. The Dreamville rapper brings his own soft touch with his verse, adding to the sensual chemistry conveyed by the two musicians throughout the visuals.
“These mirrors know our secrets. They’ve witnessed our wilds, our highs riding the winds,” Mereba says as the 4-minute flick kicks off. Directed by Dawit N.M., the video proceeds with a series of moody black and white scenes, while flashes of color bring up the energy as the two artists connect along the way. In other music news, J.I.D was also recently featured on Aloe Blacc’s new single, “Getting Started,” which released last weekend.
