Greg Lauren SS20 Reimagines the Modern Cowboy
Denim overalls, printed kimonos and cargo pants pieced together from vintage textiles.

Greg Lauren has unveiled his Spring/Summer 2020 collection in a new lookbook that portrays the cowboy aesthetic with an avant-garde spin. The images encompass the designer’s usual lot of unconventional styles, fusing sportswear and workwear together across silhouettes like overalls, denim jackets, boilersuits and kimonos.
An arid landscape sets the backdrop throughout, leaving centerstage to pieces such as camouflage cargo pants, plaid overcoats and sweatpants-meet-jeans hybrids. Lengthy overcoats are fused with cut-up overalls and Navajo prints, while other options are crafted of metallic silver reminiscent of NASA space gear. Meticulous layering sets the tone for the styling, allowing outerwear like capes, puffer jackets and pinstripe blazers to stand out. Looks are topped off with wide-brimmed hats to bring the nomadic mood full circle.
