Sweet Chick & Num Pang Collaborate on Pork Belly-Topped Fried Chicken Sandwich
Dressed with Asian slaw and chili mayo.
Southern-style restaurant Sweet Chick and Southeast Asian eatery Num Pang Kitchen have dreamed up a savory pork belly-meets-fried chicken mash-up — and the duo are bringing the colossal sandwich to life for a limited time starting next week.
Dubbed the “Num Chick Sammy,” the special sandwich will take Sweet Chick’s popular fried chicken and layer it with Num Pang’s signature Glazed 5-spice Pork Belly, Asian slaw and chili mayo. It comes served on a soft brioche bun and only 20 per day will be available at participating locations.
The Num Chick Sammy will only be offered during what the brands are calling a “Num Chick” event, taking place from Monday, July 15 to Sunday, July 21. Customers can visit either Sweet Chick’s Lower East Side location or Num Pang’s Union Square shop for a chance to try it.
