Boramy Viguier SS20 Utilizes Tailoring to Explore Tarot Cards
Slouchy suits bolstered by Victorian touches.

Emerging designer Boramy Viguier has only just burst onto the European fashion scene, but his third collection is his label’s most sophisticated to date. Spring/Summer 2020 takes influence from tarot cards to deliver a range of austere tailoring and lavish textiles, yielding genderless styling that draws from many eras of menswear.
One of Viguier’s signature touches is to recontextualize rugged silhouettes with pristine textiles. This technique reappears in force for SS20, with Muay Thai-inspired shorts executed in silky fabrics and lab coats offset by ruffles and leather panels. Touches of satin mingle with prince of wales check across tweaked anoraks and coaches jackets, with actual tarot cards slotted into the pockets of capes and ponchos. Meanwhile, classic shirting, slacks and suits are cut into baggy shapes to reinforce the louche motif.
Boramy Viguier FW19 is arriving now on Matchesfashion.com, with more stockists soon to come for Spring/Summer 2020.
