As a family-owned company for over 100 years, independence is a source of pride for New Balance — but family and independence go far beyond their traditional meanings for the footwear brand. Having extended its own unit to include ambassadors, coaches, friends and fans, the imprint has made an example of supporting one’s chosen family. It’s this ethos that drives New Balance’s latest campaign, starring Kawhi Leonard, Jaden Smith, Sydney McLaughlin, Jamie Foy and Francisco Lindor.

“Runs In The Family” honors those who evade the status quo by being fearlessly independent — just like New Balance. At the core of the campaign is the New Balance 997 Sport, a reimagined version of its iconic 997 series, featuring retro-inspired colorways. Despite the talent’s different paths, they share a common drive to stand up to convention. Throughout July, the brand will welcome them into a new generation of stylish innovators by taking a deep dive into each of their stories.

Head to New Balance’s website to learn more about the brand’s family and to shop the 997 Sport, which is available now for $119.99 USD.
