BJ The Chicago Kid & Afrojack Connect for New Single "Reach"
Another taste of his sophomore album.
Currently promoting for his forthcoming sophomore album, BJ The Chicago Kid is serving up another new single. For the latest addition to his upcoming project’s rollout, the acclaimed singer-songwriter is teaming up with popular producer/DJ Afrojack for a new joint record known as “Reach.” Notably, “Reach” combines BJ The Chicago Kid’s soulful vocals with Afrojack‘s upbeat, dancefloor-ready beats, allowing for a glimpse at BJ The Chicago Kid’s new direction. It also serves as the follow-up to BJ The Chicago Kid’s previous 1123 singles, “Time Today” and the Offset-propelled “Worryin’ Bout Me.”
“I’ve always been fans of a lot of the people I’ve actually had a first chance to work with on this album, from Cool and Dre to Danger to Afrojack, and then you have people that I’ve always worked with, that I’ve always created magic with as well,” BJ The Chicago recently shared during an interview with the official GRAMMY website, opening up about his latest project and his new collaborations. “I’ve always put my life experiences [in my albums,] the new stories, just the new chapters of life I’ve always included into the music and I think it’s always been the best thing for me, so you will see a big difference between 1123 and In My Mind.”
