Cousin Stizz links up with City Girls for his new single titled “Perfect.” In 2018, Stizz dropped two three-song EPs, All Adds Up in August and Cold Times in September, and has been relatively quiet ever since. “Perfect” is a summer banger that finds both Stizz and Yung Miami showing great chemstry.
While on Zane Lowe’s World Record on Apple Music’s Beats 1, Stizz spoke about making the song with producer, Rich, and why he added City Girls on the record.
“It kind of happened pretty naturally, whenever me and Rich get together it kind of just goes just like that,” he shared. “He had the beat for me and I kind of just went in the booth and freestyled it. And then we kind of just knew yeah, we kind of just knew that it was the one and it needed that touch, so we connected it with City Girls. Everything about them, they got that style man and I just needed that girl, that girl power. And but for real, they do got that style; when she hit the beat, it just got that bop, you know what I’m saying? And I loved it, man, I loved it from the jump. I didn’t actually change a thing, and as soon as I got the verse it was perfect.”
Stizz is currently working on his upcoming album, the follow up to his One Night Only album. On the forthcoming project, “I’m just at the studio working; studio and the crib. We got a lot going on right now. I got the album coming soon, at the end of the summer. You the first one to hear that. I can’t drop the name for you yet but you’re the first one to hear that. I mean I got Kenny Beats on there. I got Smino on there. I got my partner Freddie Gibbs on there. Big records. Leven’s on there as well. Leven Kali.”
