The famed photographer shot the vibrant imagery in Paris.

Between Humberto Leon and Carol Lim’s announcement to step down and Felipe Oliveira Baptista’s appointment as the new creative director, KENZO has undergone a series of groundbreaking changes this season. But the French label has returned to familiar territory for its Fall/Winter 2019 campaign, syncing up for the second time with famed photographer David LaChapelle to showcase the collection through pop art-inspired imagery.

After coming together for Spring/Summer 2019, KENZO and LaChapelle return with a series of colorful photos starring figures such as Euphoria actress Hunter Schafer and models including Lindsay Wixson and Kiko Arai. The vibrant visuals were shot in Paris and created around the concept of vintage postcards, with LaChapelle even superimposing his own archival travel slides as backgrounds throughout the campaign. Keeping in line with the brand’s usual globally-centric messages, the mash-up of high-gloss fashion looks and retro photography is meant to reflect the idea of cross-cultural exchanges and how travel helps to form a worldwide community.

Browse through the FW19 pictures in the gallery above, and catch up on KENZO’s latest runway by checking out the Spring/Summer 2020 show at Paris Fashion Week last month.
