atmos Joins ASICS for Ultra-Breathable GEL-Lyte III "NEXKIN"
Lightweight summer makeovers, complete with bold camouflage.
Following a set of GEL-PTG “NEXKIN” silhouettes, another classic ASICS silhouette will receive a textural facelift by way of Tokyo’s atmos. Two GEL-Lyte III sneakers receive light- and dark-themed NEXKIN textile remixes, complete with bold patterns and light-sensitive detailing.
NEXKIN is a special textile developed by ASICS to be extremely breathable and lightweight, ensuring that the shoes receive a summer-friendly upgrade alongside panels of white leather or black suede. The breathable fabric has also been emblazoned with hints of pale blue or rich green camouflage, matching the translucent outsoles hidden beneath the white midsoles. To further distinguish the statement sneakers, both models sport 3M accents on the medial and lateral side ASICS branding as well as the heel, making the sneakers unmissable in all levels of visibility.
The GEL-Lyte III “NEXKIN” shoes hit atmos’ web store, physical outposts and select Japanese ASICS shops on August 3 for ¥15,000 JPY (approximately $140 USD).
Most recently, atmos joined various other Japanese brands to create a bespoke pair of New Balance CM996 sneakers.
