Tony Hawk Takes Center Stage in 'Battle Commander' Part
The 51-year-old takes his family along for the ride.
Despite his trepidation about attempting another street skating part at the age of 51, Tony Hawk nevertheless hits the ramps for his new Battle Commander part. An appropriate cap to The Berrics‘ Tony Hawk Week, the new video sees Hawk demonstrating the prowess that made his name synonymous with the entire sport of skating.
The three-and-a-half minute video sees the Birdhouse co-founder taking over The Berrics’ warehouse with a breezy street set, an uncommon feat for Hawk, who normally prefers vert parts. In between a variety of kickflips and effortless inverts, Hawk demonstrates a textbook boardslide down 10 stairs, an impressive feat for a man half his age. Along with Hawk’s own performance, he brings in his entire family: Spencer, Keegan, Riley and Kady Hawk, along with stepsons Miles and Calvin Goodman.

Most recently, The Berrics spoke to pro skaters to find out how much Hawk impacted their own careers.
The @berrics #TONYHAWKWEEK has [thankfully] come to an end with the release of my Battle Commander video. It was a blast – and frightening – to revisit my “street” skills, and truly enjoyable to include my kids in the segment. Enjoy: https://t.co/Wyzqtu90Yp
