Vetements' FW19 Error Messaging Lands on the Classic Dad Cap

“Request not found.”

Vetements’ fashion commentary on technology and the internet was infused throughout the French brand’s Fall/Winter 2019 collection, stamping a cluster of Error-themed prints on the likes of denim jackets and jeans. The warning messages have since made their way onto the typical dad cap, plastering the accessory with colorful patches that continue the conversation around an online-driven society.

Crafted in black twill, the hat features embroidered designs all over that highlight stress-inducing web phrases such as “request not found,” “404 error,” and “Internal Server Problem.” The label selected several bright colors, including orange, red, green and pink, to create a playful color palette, while familiar stylization cues recall some of pop culture’s favorite brands such as Coca-Cola, MasterCard and Nintendo. Vetements then places its own logo emblem at the velcro strap, rounding it all off.

Priced at £354 GBP (approximately $450 USD) the Error-Embroidered Twill Baseball Cap is expected to release soon at MATCHESFASHION.com.
