Chinese 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' Trailer Swings in Some New Footage
And dialogue from Mysterio.
After getting a peek at Spider-Man‘s upgraded suits in a few Far From Home international spots last month, the highly-anticipated film has shared some new footage via a trailer released in China.
Along with the never-before-seen action scenes, the clip also features new dialogue from Mysterio (played by Jake Gyllenhaal), which takes up the majority of the one-minute trailer. As the video kicks off a voiceover from Mysterio can be heard, “It’s a hard path, the life of a hero. People depend on me. Even if you win a battle, sometimes they die.” He continues, “The world is asking, ‘who is gonna be the next Iron Man?’” We then see Nick Fury telling Spidy “Stark made you an Avenger. The world needs people like you.” Check out the Chinese trailer above.
Far From Home will follow the events of Avengers: Endgame as Peter struggles with the loss of his mentor, Tony Stark. The film lands in theaters July 2 and will release a few days earlier in China on June 28.
Tom Holland stars as Spider-Man, Zendaya as “MJ,” Jacob Batalon as Ned, with Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, and Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio. Samuel L. Jackson (Captain Marvel) and Cobie Smulders will also join Holland’s Spider-Man sequel as Nick Fury and Maria Hill, respectively. New additions include comedian J.B. Smoove and Numan Acar (Aladdin) as Dimitri.
