Prada's FW19 Campaign Captures the Spirit of Love and Romance
Continuing the brand’s theme from its FW19 show.

Prada’s Fall/Winter 2019 runway show — though laced with references to horror movies — was meant to be a “romantic” presentation, as explained by creative director Miuccia Prada during Milan Fashion Week in January. Months later, the Italian label has rekindled that same spirit of love and enchantment for its corresponding FW19 campaign, highlighting its upcoming menswear and womenswear collections through artistic and floral-imbued visuals.
Meant to explore “tension between man and nature,” the images set opposing ideas within the same context. The inside of an industrial warehouse gets transformed into an outdoorsy scene, housing colorful wildlife and bushes in order to connect the liveliness of nature with the hardness of the indoors. Lush flowers and greenery get juxtaposed against concrete slabs. All the while, models are interspersed throughout the faux fields, embodying the same amorous mood while clad in the likes of olive green military-inspired jackets, functional puffers, knit sweaters and colorful gowns.
