Nike Drops Deconstructed Drop-Type LX in Bricolage of Colors
Following in Virgil Abloh’s footsteps.

Continuing where Virgil Abloh’s various Off-White™ collabs began, Nike has opted to continue its path down the line of deconstructed sneakers that effectively strip back the look of some of its silhouettes. After previewing a deconstructed inside-out pair of Air Max 1s, the sportswear giant has now released a new iteration of the Drop-Type LX with a similarly stripped-back look.
The new low-cut sneaker features a bricolage-typed aesthetic profile, featuring a mint-colored nylon base with a hit of small handwriting marking near the lacing eyelets. This is intermixed with various materials from white and cream colored leathers, suede in tan to a vibrant hit of blue on the tongue and a red interior. This is all met with an oversized white rubber middle and outsole, which runs into the large toe cap at the front. More details include suede eyelets as well as a black heel with hollowed out Swooshes throughout.
You can take a look at the newly released Nike Drop-Type LX in Mint and Blue above, and if you’re interested in picking up a pair, head over to Milk Store or AFEW where they are currently priced at €80 EUR (approximately $90 USD).
For more footwear news, the Virgil Abloh x MCA Chicago x Nike Air Force 1 ‘07 will not be releasing at Abloh’s upcoming exhibition.
