Netflix Releases the First Teaser for Animated 'Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous' Series
With executive producer Steven Spielberg.
Netflix recently announced its latest animated project — an addition to the Jurassic World universe called Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous — and the first teaser has just dropped.
The new animated series takes place around the same time as the first Jurassic World movie, and will see a group of teenagers visiting Isla Nublar for an adventure. Hopping onto the other side of the island, the tour is set for a new camp on the site called Camp Cretaceous. Of course, things don’t turn out the way they should, and all hell breaks loose, forcing the party of teenagers to band together and fight for their survival.
The series will be run by showrunners Scott Kreamer and Lane Lueras, whose previous works include Pinky Malinky and Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny respectively. There’s also going to be an all-star lineup for the show’s executive producers, with big names like Steven Spielberg (who directed the original Jurassic Park), Frank Marshall, and Colin Treverrow.
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is one of many upcoming projects by Netflix and DreamWorks Animations thanks to a five-year deal between the two. A Fast & Furious animated series is also set to be released as part of the collaboration.
