Jordan Brand continues its venture in combining its R&D efforts with contemporary apparel. In keeping with Jordan Brand’s roots in the sport of basketball, staple silhouettes are re-worked with a high level of attentional to detail that’s matched with technical fabrics.
As VP of Design for Jordan Brand David Creech puts it, “The way we approach 23 Engineered is by looking at how to create new thinking in apparel by obsessing over fit, form, and function. We’re looking to solve problems that lead us to a better place for the brand in the future.”
At first glance, the initial pieces appear to carry similar DNA that’s prevalent in NikeLab’s ACG line, blurring the lines of techwear and sportswear — key items like the technical vest, parka, and compression pants complement Jordan Brand’s steady release of futurist footwear models. Scroll through the set of lookbook images above to see the garments displayed by Jordan Brand purveyors Nigel Sylvester, Karrueche, and Les Twins and Neymar Jr. Expect the collection to drop next month in July.
