Viberg Displays Rebuild by NEEDLES Collab at Nepenthes Hakata
Made from “beyond repair” boots.

Viberg recently collaborated with Needles for a small capsule of hiking boots and classic pull-ons. Born from that collection was a series of boots made under the Rebuild by NEEDLES umbrella which rifted off the “Rebuild” ethos.
Over a course of several years, several vintage Viberg boots that were beyond repair were sourced to be reconstructed. Each pair was meticulously broken down and cut into new patterns, then rebuilt into new silhouettes — the result is not only a step in the right direction for sustainability but each pair is truly unique; the aged leather and patina all tells a story of the leather’s previous life.
Each pair is now on display at Nepenthes Hakata where they will later travel to Osaka and finish in Tokyo. Those seriously interested in owning a pair will need to reach out to Nepenthes for pricing and reservation.
