Takara Wong & Levi's Link for an Punk-Americana Infused Collaboration
The latest from the Bangkok-based imprint.
Bangkok-based imprint Takara Wong has returned with a brand new collaborative collection alongside Levi’s, entitled “We are wearing 501 and we look so divine.” To celebrate the 146th birthday of the denim and jean brand, creative director Thakorn Wannawong embraces old-time jeans and denim through a new and improved vision.
Aptly infusing a boisterous vision of Punk Americana into the range, the various pieces take on various deconstructed looks. Various pieces include a new denim crop jacket which has been cut into pieces and restitched, with rear pant pockets attached to the front. The second piece is another jacket with various eyelets attached all over, with the third jacket has been created using three different types of jeans, further featuring various leather overlays throughout. Furthermore, the collection is rounded off by various jeans that have been transformed in a similar fashion.
