Nike Revives 1985 Air Vortex Runner in "Sequoia/Hyper Jade" Colorway
A throwback to the Swoosh’s “V-Series” archive.
Originally released in 1985 as part of Nike‘s “V-Series,” the Nike Air Vortex continues to work its way out of the archives with its latest retro colorway, “Sequoia/Hyper Jade.”
The ”Sequoia/Hyper Jade” shades are paired with an off-white midsole and a traction-enhancing gum outsole, referencing its “V-Series” running heritage. A vintage mixture of suede, nylon, mesh and leather constructs the upper, which is finished with bold “NIKE AIR” branding on the heel cup and a retro contrasting-orange Swoosh on the tongue tab. A “Hyper Jade” Swoosh contrasts the “Pale Vanilla” nylon panel and “Sequoia” suede rear-quarter and wraps around onto the heel tab.
The latest Nike Air Vortex is available to purchase from retailers such as footdistrict for €90 EUR (approx. $100 USD).
