Nike‘s Air Liquid Max returns in a new “Sequoia” colorway that leans into darker, earth-toned territory for the fall season. The release layers deep green, black, and grey across the silhouette while reworking the upper’s texture, giving the model a more sculpted profile than earlier iterations.
Sequoia covers the mesh upper as the dominant shade, with Anthracite threading through the overlays, Swoosh, lining, and outsole for a low-contrast, tonal effect. Rather than mirror the textured nanoprint finish seen on previous versions, this pair introduces thin TPU lines that travel across the upper from toe to heel. The raised pattern builds visible dimension along the sidewalls, while black laces, tongue branding, and collar padding keep the surrounding details muted.
The tooling carries the earthy palette downward. Medium Olive wraps the midsole and continues around the heel support, anchoring the shoe’s grounded look. Glossy black Air pods stretch nearly the full length of the sole, delivering the model’s signature cushioning underfoot. A smoky outsole finishes the build with rounded traction zones and several open cutouts, while vertical “AIRMAX” branding sits on the rear support piece.
