Hender Scheme Wraps the PARALLEL / FRONT GORE Slip-On in Rubber
Featuring a standout rainbow-paneled pair.
Japanese imprint Hender Scheme has turned its hand to rubber for its latest footwear drop, dubbed the “PARALLEL / FRONT GORE.”
The rubber slip-on silhouette is based on Hender Scheme’s leather-wrapped “FRONT GORE” shoe, a pair which showcases the label’s excellence in producing high-quality handcrafted premium leather products. Deviating from its high-standard leather pieces, Hender Scheme delivers the rubber alternative in black and dark brown, as well as a rainbow-paneled look.
The Ryo Kashiwazaki-helmed company has transformed its in-house-designed formal shoe into a rain bootie using traditional manual manufacturing methods. Hender Scheme has delivered a trio of clean slip-ons that echo the welded one-piece aesthetic derived from its handmade construction, which is done by sticking rubber to an aluminum last and baking it with firewood.
The Hender Scheme “PARALLEL / FRONT GORE” slip-on will release on the brand’s website and at its physical outposts on 11 May for ¥ 18,000 JPY (approx. $165 USD).
