Commonwealth Joins Vans For Subtly-Detailed Era & Slip-On Collaboration
The latest from the streetwear retailer.

Commonwealth and Vans are coming together for the first time to collaborate on two of the footwear brand’s most iconic silhouettes. The limited edition Vans Vault releases will include unique iterations of both the classic Era and Slip-On silhouettes, effectively reflecting on the retailer/imprint’s roots in various facets of street culture. The new sneakers are said to be “an exercise in subtle detailing, blending inspirations from the art world, military, and current events.”
Dressed in premium suede leather, the Era comes in a “Desert Sage” color scheme, while the Slip-On arrives in a “Lark Tan.” The Era iteration comes doused in a monochromatic colorway, featuring an embossed, high gloss midsole that totes the saying “every generation needs a revolution.” The Slip-On model has been given a midsole, featuring “people everywhere are created equal.” Both models utilize a checkerboard foxing stripe, with various Commonwealth branding marked throughout. Similarly, the collaboration opts out of the usual Vans waffle sole in exchange for a siped one.
