As a follow up to its Holiday 2018 collection, American label 40s & Shorties has returned with its Summer 2019 lookbook spotlighting a range of bold patterns and graphics.

The lookbook is set along the streets of Seoul, following a group of friends as they walk through the city. Tinged in warm grains, the images set the scene for vibrant patterns and west coast silhouettes drawn from the ’90s and 2000s. Seasonal gradients of blue, white and red are juxtaposed with explosive, over-the-top graphics as well as album cover memorabilia.

One highlight is the baggy Doomsday Overalls, emblazoned with vivid fluorescent green. A skull engulfed by a cloud of lighting is shown wrapped around a red font that reads “WORLD TAKE OVER.” This print is also seen across a T-shirt, short-sleeve button-up, a pair of shorts and a bucket hat. Other pieces like the leopard-print half-zip tee and pin-striped denim jacket round up the sizable assemblage.

The Summer 2019 collection will be available on May 23 at 40s & Shorties’ website and select retailers.

In other streetwear news, check out Sotheby’s Supreme archive auction featuring over 1,300 items from nearly 10 years of collecting.
