PUMA has teamed up with famed Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli to bring back its old motorsports heritage. The collaborative sneaker — the Replicat X — is a racing-inspired silhouette with a Formula 1-like low profile. Much of the upper is constructed with a mix of white microfiber suede and mesh panelling, with exposed stitching for detailing. The signature PUMA formstrip down the side comes in bright translucent blue, with a black heel and refreshing green highlights. The shoe is perfectly finished with a full rubber outsole holding tread patterns taken from Pirelli’s own Formula 1 Cinturato tire. Pirelli branding can also be found on the midfoot, the tongue pull tab, and the bottom of the sole in its traditional red and yellow colored logo.
The PUMA x Pirelli Replicat X will be available at select retailers including 43einhalb on April 26, subsequently hitting PUMA’s online store on May 15. The retail price is set at €119.95 EUR, or roughly $135 USD. More colorways are also set to arrive, so stay tuned for future updates.
