April 20, 2019: Patta recently shared a teaser on Instagram to announce an upcoming partnership with Jordan Brand. While details were sparse on the company’s post, GM Tim Sabajo went on the German sneaker podcast “Oh, Schuhen!” and confirmed that the collaboration would involve a take on the Air Jordan 7 with two colorways — one being a global release, while the other will be exclusive to Patta.
He also shared that a ’90s-themed apparel and accessories lineup would be included with tracksuits, shorts and hats. Listen to the podcast starting at 53:44 for the interview where Sabajo talks more about why he chose the VII, a look back at their famed Air Max 1, and why people might want to be in New York around September.
Meanwhile, sneaker enthusiast zsneakerheadz shared more information via Instagram, revealing a rumored drop date of June 2019 and two possible colorways of the model: Shimmer/Tough Red-Velvet Brown-Mahogany Pink and Icicle/Sequoia-River Rock-Light Crimson.
The Dutch imprint has a longstanding history with Nike, teaming up with the retailer on the Nike By You collection. Given Patta’s revered reputation, its newest endeavor with Jordan Brand will undoubtedly include a highly anticipated release.
