OBEY & Invader Honor Long-Time Partnership in First Clothing Collaboration
Highlighting an art piece from 2002.

French urban artist Invader and streetwear staple OBEY have had an artistically fruitful relationship over the years, and the two are extending their partnership to their first clothing collaboration.
Comprised of apparel such as T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts, the collection comes in hues of black, white and grey. The highlight pieces feature a mosaic graphic entitled LA_56 that showcases the artist’s signature 8-bit Space Invader character above the distinct OBEY logo. Created in 2002, Invader installed the piece in the middle of Los Angeles as a tribute to Shepard Fairey and the OBEY campaign.
Fairey and Invader’s 2018 Water Tower collaboration Griffith Park is also spotlighted in the collection, monochromatically printed against a plain white tee for a contrasting effect. Additionally, Paris-based patrons can pick up a limited edition 18 cm x 27 cm poster exclusively at the OBEY Clothing Paris brick-and-mortar store on Thursday, April 4 at 11 a.m.
The OBEY x Invader collection will be up for grabs at OBEY flagship stores and online starting Friday, April 5. Pieces range between $30 to $85 USD.
