Nike Expands its Air Edge 270 Line With an Earthy Colorway
The Barkley-inspired silhouette goes ACG.
After the debut of the “Pure Platinum” Charles Barkley-inspired Air Edge 270, Beaverton has expanded on the futuristic-yet-nostalgic line with an all-new outdoor-friendly colorway, reminiscent of the Nike ACG series of footwear.
The upper combines leather overlays in tan with a grey perforated ballistic mesh base. The sneaker also uses military-style olive straps at the collar and midfoot — building a sneaker that pays homage to the Air Max 2 CB 94. The upper then sits on a white midsole and outsole, with a futuristic Air Max 270 air bubble at the heel in icy blue. As a finishing touch, the predominantly-earthy tones are balanced out with a few dashes of color: a neon green lining, a vibrant orange heel and pull tab, and a subtle muted purple on the midfoot.
This earthy colorway of the Air Edge 270 will be available soon at select retailers and nike.com, going for a retail price of $160 USD.
In other sneaker news, Nike has dropped a “Mamba Day” colorway for the PG3.
