Nike has just dropped an all-new basketball-inspired lifestyle model: the Air Edge 270. The new sneaker is a modern take on a classic, with an upper inspired by Charles Barkley’s Air Max2 CB 94 and dressed in “Pure Platinum.” It’s constructed predominantly with mesh, and features nubuck overlays and an abundant amount of Velcro tabs. Both the overlays and the tongue are perforated for style and breathability, and a dash of color hits the shoe in the form of a bright orange heel pull tab and a tongue tab that extends down through the laces.
Subtle Nike logos furnish the heel, tongue tab and side panel, keep branding minimalistic. The whole upper then sits on a translucent 270-degree Air bubble by the heel’s midsole, with internal cushioning making up the front half.
The all-new ’90s inspired Nike Air Edge 270 is now available for $160 USD over at nike.com and select retailers like YCMC.
