Khalid's Sophomore Album 'Free Spirit' Has Arrived
Featuring appearances from John Mayer, Disclosure, SAFE, & more.

After dropping his SAFE-assisted track “Don’t Pretend” just yesterday, Khalid has now shared his sophomore album Free Spirit.
After two-years of waiting, fans are sure to be happy with his latest studio project which is jammed back full of big name features. Along with the aforementioned “Don’t Pretend,” the 17-track record includes the Hit-Boy-produced “Self” and “My Bad;” the Disclosure-produced lead single “Talk;” plus a collaborative single with OG John Mayer, “Outta My Head.” Two cuts from his 2018 EP Suncity, “Better” and “Saturday Nights,” have also been included.
On the record Khalid told Zane Lowe on Beats 1, “I wrote American Teen at 17 years old. Now I get to release this at 20-21, so it’s a completely different mind frame.” Khalid also shared in a press release, “This album is the culmination of all of the growth and experiences I have gathered over the past two remarkable years. I have been in the studio pouring my soul and spirit to create a body of work that I hope speaks to each and every one of you.” Stream Free Spirit below.
Along with the album, a visual film also accompanies the release. Khalid’s freshman album was the GRAMMY-nominated American Teen.
Khalid will be setting out on his Free Spirit World Tour which kicks off in Phoenix on June 20. You can catch him earlier at Coachella this weekend.
In more music-related news, Tory Lanez dropped his new mixtape International Fargo.
