Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’ Casts 'The Handmaid’s Tale’ Actor O-T Fagbenle
He will be joining Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, and Rachel Weisz.

Marvel‘s “secret” Black Widow film has just cast British actor O-T Fagbenle of The Handmaid’s Tale fame, states Deadline.
According to the exclusive report, the 38-year-old actor will be taking on a lead role opposite Scarlett Johansson‘s pivotal Black Widow moniker. Fagbenle will also be joining David Harbour, Florence Pugh, and Rachel Weisz who have all been previously announced as cast members. So far no details surrounding the plot of the film have been revealed, but most fans are guessing it will be some sort of origin story on how KGB spy assassin Natasha Romanoff, played by Johansson, becomes an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and ultimately an Avenger.
Directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige, Black Widow will begin production this June in London. As Marvel has decided to not share any info on its upcoming projects until after Endgame, rumors are stating Black Widow should be releasing during the first weekend in May or November of next year.
Avengers: Endgame will mark the latest chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will be hitting theaters on April 26. The third season of The Handmaid’s Tale returns to Hulu June 5.
