Chadwick Boseman Goes Into a Citywide Manhunt in '21 Bridges'
Produced by the Russo Brothers.
Black Panther‘s Chadwick Boseman portrays a cop on a citywide manhunt in the upcoming film from STX Entertainment, 21 Bridges.
Brought to you by the Russo Brothers, directors of Avengers: Endgame, the gritty film sees Boseman as a disgraced NYPD detective who makes it his mission to search for a pair of cop killers, all while trying to find redemption. During the task, he shuts down every possible way to escape Manhattan to solve the murder. However as the night unfolds, lines between who he is pursuing and who is in pursuit of him began to blur.
“Chadwick Boseman’s razor-sharp instincts and undeniable charisma captivated millions of people around the world in Black Panther, and Joe and Anthony Russo have breathed a new energy into the action genre with films like Avengers: Infinity War,” said STXfilms chairman Adam Fogelson in a statement. “Their unique and intelligent approach to filmmaking is anything but formulaic, and with Brian Kirk at the helm directing, this film promises to go beyond the typical popcorn fare.”
21 Bridges also stars Sienna Miller, Taylor Kitsch and Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons. Look for the film to hit theaters on July 12.
Boseman previously worked with the Russo Brothers in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War and 2018’s Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War.
