1KCorp Reimagines the Sole Fury for Reebok's Advanced Concepts Project
Launching at a special NUBIAN Harajuku pop-up.
After weeks of teasing, 1KCorp recently unveiled its part in Reebok‘s “Advanced Concepts” project, which sees a group of talented designer create a collection of handmade, deconstructed Sole Fury sneakers.
Set to release at an exclusive pop-up NUBIAN Harajuku, the 1KCorp x Reebok Synthetic Fury is the brand’s future-tactical take on the performance-rooted silhouette. Available in two colorways, designer Fernando Ruiz reimagined the Sole Fury’s mesh upper with an array of suede and leather overlays that create forms and lines reminiscent of mechas found in popular Japanese media. Additional detailing on the upper comes in the form of contrasting laces looped through the asymmetrical lacing system and pull tabs at the rear. Elevating the shoe is a white TPU torsion plate at the midfoot and matching unique split EVA foam midsole paired with a traction focussed rubber outsole.
