Vince Staples and DRAM Join Forces With Adult Swim for Animated Series 'Lazor Wulf'
Big E from WWE even voices a character.
Rapper and actor Vince Staples (Punk) is branching off into television in the form of a new Adult Swim animated series called Lazor Wulf. Starring alongside the Compton-based rapper will be fellow rapper DRAM and will focus on the titular character, a wolf with a laser on its back. Even WWE’s Big E will voice a character adjacent to DRAM and Staples (who also serves as executive producer.)
The show will utilize a mixture of Staple’s unique deadpan humor and stoner culture for the sitcom, which appears to be centered on the city of Strongburg and its various hangout spots like The Clurb and Esther’s. Lazor Wulf joins Adult Swim alongside Tyler, The Creator’s The Jellies as one of its flagship shows centered around a predominately black cast.
Lazor Wulf drops Sunday, April 7 with two episodes starting at midnight on Adult Swim.
