This season’s Paris Fashion Week recently kicked off, with early highlights including an ’80s-inspired Saint Laurent collection and a more recent standout being Balenciaga’s unironic runway. Another stand-out element of the fashion festivities in the French capital is been the street style, as attendees mix things up both Fashion Week staples and emerging labels with aplomb.
In line with Paris Fashion Week Men’s back in January, one key trend was bold accessories. What began as surprisingly warm and sunny weather wound up returning to the winter chill that French citizens have become accustomed to — however, that hasn’t put a damper on statement sunglasses from brands including Dior and Gucci, two heavy-hitting street style favorites.
Intermixed with designers like sacai‘s Chitose Abe and twin influencers Ami & Aya, attendees stood tall with intricate displays of opulence. Rich tapestries of earrings, statement lapel pins and subtly-branded bracelets appeared throughout, elevating even the comparatively-understated showcases of style. Nothing helps a simple black sweater pop more than a striped hat and some draping gold. More overt detailing came by way of Off-White™ graphics and timeless Hermès scarves, with splashes of pattern and color highlighting more understated looks.

Elsewhere at Paris Fashion Week, we went backstage at Off-White™’s Fall/Winter 2019 presentation.
