Joakim Ojanen Brings Psychedelic Paintings & Sculptures to The Hole NYC
The Swedish artist’s most ambitious presentation to date.
Trailing behind his sculpture release with Case Studyo, Swedish artist Joakim Ojanen is now the focus of a new show titled “Snake Pit” at The Hole gallery in New York City. The exhibition is Ojanen’s most ambitious to date.
Ojanen debuts his new original series of large-scale paintings and ceramic works that feature his trademark, comic characters. “In eight ceramic sculptures and five oil paintings, Ojanen shares his unique universe of duck-billed boys, silly hats, sweaty dogs, hairy legs, soccer balls, trees, clocks, clowns and of course lots of snakes,” said The Hole in a statement.
“Snake Pit” is on view until April 14th. Head to The Hole NYC’s website to learn more. For more captivating artworks, check out James Jean’s new stained glass light sculptures for an upcoming show at Seoul’s LOTTE Museum.
