Astrid Andersen Debuts Basketball Inspired Collection Exclusively for XHIBITION

Following her debut FILA Fjord collection, Danish designer Astrid Andersen now collaborates with retailer XHIBITION on a new range sportwear-inspired apparel.
With Andersen’s guidance the offering takes on a basketball theme, due to the fact that “the fusion of luxury and sport was always such an integral part of [Andersen's] life.” Pieces include T-shirts, trackpants and lightweight jackets, all featuring reflective stripes and accents, reminiscent of Andersen’s SS19 collection.
Growing up in the ’90s — when hip-hop music really became mainstream and athletes became the true superstars — all of that created new aspirational codes within our generation. So for luxury and sport to become more than a trend I think was inherent to our generation, and I’m happy to see how fashion is now ready for new interpretations and avenues.
The collection will officially release on March 14 in-store and via Xhibition.co.
