Singaporean artist SBTG takes his hand to two AM1’s in a collection titled “STAMPEDE,” as well as a New Era Camper cap. The collection draws inspiration from 24 Kilates and SBTG’s shared love for military design and nuances, as seen in the custom AM1’s.
Based on the Air Max 1 “Pinnacle,” the pack sees both black and beige iterations customized with military references. The black pair features a furry checkered swoosh, black and yellow camouflage on the toe box and vamp and a black custom tongue patch. The beige pair adopt a more traditional military approach, seeing a louder green camouflage that splits the pair’s upper from its original mudguard. Light khaki green hits the top of the heel padding, the medial and lateral sides are painted dark green and feature a furry cheetah print swoosh and the tongue sees also see’s a custom patch, this time in tonal khaki.
Both pairs are finished with 24 Kilates-branded lace locks, tonal waxed laces, “24” and “138” tongue patches, and gold military stamping stating “SPEC: 24-KTS / STOCK: SBTG -” which runs undeath the swoosh. The custom AM1’s are finished with SBTG’s gold cursive Arabic-influenced calligraphy signature.
The New Era Camper cap continues the military theme with SBTG’s signature hand-painted X-ray camouflage and comes complete with customizable velcro patches, available in the black and beige colorways of the AM1’s.
There is no word as of yet on a price for the limited-edition customs, however, head down to 24 Kilates “The Mine” at Central World, Bangkok on March 16 to be within a chance to cop a pair.
