2012's Nike SB Dunk High "Doernbecher" Will Also be Making a Comeback
Alongside 2013’s Air Foamposite One “Doernbecher.”
Following the recent news of the Nike Air Foamposite One “Doernbecher” making its return, 2012’s SB Dunk High will also mount a comeback. Designed by Finnigan Mooney, the brightly-colored sneaker shares a mix of blue, gold and red accents atop a yellow base. The heel’s “TUMP THUMP” call-out is a nod to Finnagan’s strong heart as he endured more than 13 heart surgeries. Additional details include a thumb graphic on each outsole as a symbol of him giving his parents two thumbs up after each surgery.
Currently in good health, Finnagan–and his newly-acquired pacemaker–is now a junior in high school and finds enjoyment in playing golf and assisting fellow kids at Merry’s Heart Camp. The Nike SB Dunk High “Doernbecher” arrives on February 22 for $120 USD at select Nike SB stockists and Nike SNKRS, with all proceeds going towards the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
