ASICS Revamps GEL-Kayano 5 OG in "Black/Turquoise" and "White/Saffron"
Bubblegum highlights.
After droppings its SportStyle GEL-Kayano 5 OG, ASICS has returned with two new iterations of the silhouette, this time colored in “Black/Turquoise” and “White/Saffron.” Originally designed by Shunichi Kayano, the latest iterations feature a bevy of updated materials that shine over the fifth-generation mold.
First up is the “Black/Turquoise,” boasting a mix of materials that range from thick leather to breathable mesh. The top of the sneakers come stamped with a triangular ASICS patch logo, followed by round white laces at the lower tongue. Black leather appears along the eyelet panels, mudguards and sidewalls, accented by contrasting embroidery. Near the heel, “ASICS” branding is placed at the rear quarter atop cream-white suede underlays next to an “A” logo at the back. All of these details sit atop a crisp white DUOMAX midsole, equipped with essential GEL technology for optimal cushioning and support. The “White/Saffron” counterpart comes with the same design elements as the aforementioned model, except in a crisp white palette with bright yellow accents.
The ASICS GEL-Kayano 5 OG in “Black/Turquoise” and “White/Saffron” are currently available at atmos’ website for $128 USD.
Elsewhere, Nike’s Air Force 1 has been treated in a premium “Fossil” colorway.
