Dancehall Don Popcaan Shares First OVO Project 'Vanquish'
A day before his Unruly Fest in Jamaica.

Late last year, Drake revealed that OVO Sound had bolstered its roster by signing dancehall don Popcaan. It was a unique and unexpected move for the label, but ultimately birthed a union that helped in strengthening OVO’s expansive vision. Today, the Jamaican artist presents his first project with the label, Vanquish.
Nicknamed the Unruly Boss, his latest full-length effort spans 10-tracks that continue in the same vein as much of his sprawling discography. His melodious auto-tuned vocals remain full-frontal throughout, cascading across velvety instrumentals that highlight his dancehall prowess. He praises sensi on “One Ting Alone,” showcases his love for females on loverboy tracks “Promise” and “Gimmi Love,” and expels on his ups and downs through inspirational cuts “Elevate,” “Happy and Wealthy,” and more.
You can stream Vanquish below. The release comes a day before his Unruly Fest in Saint Thomas, Jamaica, which will host performances from artists like Capleton, Sizzla, Bounty Killer, and more.
