Drake Signs Popcaan To OVO Sound

Announced during his surprise appearance in Jamaica.

During Drake‘s surprise appearance on stage during the Unruly Fest held in Jamaica, the Canadian star announced dancehall artist Popcaan has singed with OVO Sound. Jumping on stage alongside Popcaan himself, Drake delivered the message in patois. “This is something we’ve worked on for a very long time,” he told the audience. “I just wanna let everybody know, finally. Officially, 2019 Popcaan is signed to OVO.”

Following the show, Drizzy then posted with his new signee with Tory Lanez near by. The festival also included performances by Cocoa Tea, Bounty Killer, Dexta Daps, Assassin, and Popcaan himself.

Popcaan now joins the current OVO Sound roster which includes, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Majid Jordan, Roy Woods, dvsn, Plaza, and Baka Not Nice. Check out a fan video of the announcement below.
