Amir Obè Drops Silky Breakup Anthem "Silver Lining"
The Michigan-native is closing out 2019 with another hit.
It’s been nearly a year since we’ve last heard from Amir Obè. Last year he capped off 2018 with the second installment of his Can’t Be A ___Here EP series, which featured three tracks produced by longtime collaborator NYLZ. Now the Michigan-native has returned with a brand new track titled “Silver Lining,” tapping NYLZ and J.LBS for production.
Continuing to hone in on his velvety flow, Obè addresses a recent breakup with his girlfriend. He raps “Scrollin’ through the phone, keeping’ tabs on you / Kill ‘em with success, make a bag for you / Losin’ all the feelings that I had for you.” Production-wise, the two producers have spilled a silky smooth bedrock for Obe to glide over, one filled with otherworldly blips and soothing synth underlays.
